Today, religion is often a staple in many people’s day-to-day routines. In ancient Egypt, this was even more true. This six-week course will explore how religion shaped the everyday lives of ancient Egyptians. After a brief introduction to ancient Egypt and the pantheon of gods, topics will include types of ancient Egyptian temples and priests, household religious practices, and how ancient Egyptians prepared for the afterlife. Step into the world of ancient Egypt and learn how their beliefs affected their daily lives. No prior knowledge of ancient Egypt is required.
